Mango Quartz, from Boyacá, From Colombia, 3658g

“Mango crystal” is a rare crystal variety found only in Colombia. In the 1980s, mango quartz was first discovered by Tsar Victor Carranze, known as the ‘Emerald Tsar.’ However, he decided to seal off the mines to exclusively possess this unique treasure. It was only in 2017, after the passing of the Emerald Tsar, that Mango was rediscovered, once again capturing people’s attention.
In Mango Quartz, the yellow inclusions often gather at the tip of the crystal, like a bundle of burning flames. Hence, some refer to it as ‘Flame Quartz.’
